Grill Yourself Skinny
by Heidi Skolnik and Chef Todd C. Gray
Grilling season is here and contrary to popular belief the summer BBQ can be one of the healthiest meals you can make. Grilled fare is good for you because it’s typically whole, unprocessed, unadulterated food that you prepare yourself so you know exactly what’s in it. It’s simple and quick to make too.
Award winning Chef Todd Gray and nationally recognized nutritionist Heidi Skolnik have teamed up to demonstrate how to create delicious lip-smacking grilling recipes that shave thousands of calories off the traditional heavy meat laden, mayonnaise filled bbq of yester-year.
“This ain’t your daddy’s BBQ” says Heidi who along with Todd will show the audience how to grill tasty dishes that fill you up without sabotaging your health aspirations!
Heidi and Chef Todd, both of whom are experienced television presenters, will grill a three course feast (or more if you’d like!) and explain why grilling, one of the healthiest ways to prepare food, is perfect for those trying to lose or maintain a healthy weight.
The audience can learn more about healthy grilling from Heidi’s latest book, Grill Yourself Skinny (Creative Homeowner 2013). From appetizers to salads, fish, lean red meats like Cervena venison and bison, to healthy grains, vegetables, dessert and even a chapter on grilling breakfast; each recipe is nutritionist approved and chef created. The book also the 411 on healthy ingredients used throughout.
